I completely ruined my waffle iron trying to make waffles - it was non-stick so I didn't put anything on it and the vegan waffle batter glued itself inexorably to the iron. No real tragedy as the iron was 16 years old - time for a new one anyway. But now I know to oil the iron, even if non-stick. Thanks for all the helpful tips! Good tips!
